HFL is undertaking a Functional Safety Assessment Sage 1 (FSA) for a client specialising in underground facilities. The purpose of an FSA 1 is threefold:
1.To check that the output of the hazard assessment is traceable through the SIL determination and is correctly detailed in the Safety Requirement Specification (SRS).
2. To check that the SRS is generated in a “Clear, precise , verifiable ,maintainable and feasible”.
3.The SRS is created in a manner that it aids the comprehension of those who are likely to utilize the information at all stages of the lifecycle.
