UK-based Haden Freeman Ltd (HFL) is significantly expanding its operations throughout Europe with the announcement of a powerful new cooperation agreement with global consulting and engineering firm, Tebodin B.V. part of international engineering and services company, Bilfinger.
The agreement will see the two companies come together to jointly service the UK’s multi-billion-pound Pharmaceutical industry, by providing seamless consulting and engineering services, leveraging HFL’s UK expertise, and Tebodin’s international network.
Playing to the individual strengths of each company, the agreement forms part of Tebodin’s growth strategy 2020, while it also fits within Haden Freeman’s plans to continue growing the Group and strengthen its Pharma offering. There are further plans in place to expand the agreement to additional markets, including chemicals.
The fruits of the agreement are expected to create multiple new jobs across both companies in the coming months.
Wayne Baxter, Managing Director of Haden Freeman Ltd, commented, “Here at Haden Freeman, we have provided the pharmaceutical industry for many years with primary engineering solutions for everything from plant expansions to HAZOP studies. However, areas such as pharmaceutical architecture, HVAC and the provision of clean room environments were not our specialism.
“With this new cooperation agreement, however, this is set to change. Together with Tebodin’s long-lasting expertise in pharmaceutical industry, we are now able to provide a broad scope of services to our pharmaceutical clients, taking a project right from the initial feasibility study up to commissioning and production, serviced not only from our Teesside and Manchester offices but also by having staff on site. The importance of the agreement cannot be underestimated, as it allows us to tap into a new, multi-billion-pound market, the consequences of which are significant growth and new jobs across all our UK sites.”
Ron Blokzijil, Director at Tebodin responsible for North West Europe said: “Haden Freeman has a deservedly superb reputation within the UK for high quality engineering design and construction services, whilst we are equally strong in Europe and the rest of the world, where hundreds of satisfied clients return for our services again and again.
“Both companies sit within a similar engineering space and have both cultural and technical synergies. That means there is an excellent fit when it comes to the cooperative agreement. We are excited at what this will yield, and by approaching the market together we are able to not only offer a far more complete service to our existing clients but also to new companies who can see the benefits of this holistic service. We look forward to a solid and long-lasting relationship.”
